The Lost Blogs: 2 – Lyon = better than Paris

All posts labelled as ‘The Lost Blogs” consists of draft original content from my travels over the past ten years or so, which for one reason or another (read: I never finished it), never made it to final publication. They are rough, clunky and unfinished, but the words were mine and they were (more or less) fresh from the experience. It’s the only way I think of to actually honour those memories, and bring them to the light of day.  Of course if I really wanted to go them justice I should have finished them to begin with – let them be a constant reminder of my laziness, leading sadly to a glut of lost memories and a missed nostalgic memory. I’m also really annoyed at seeing them light up my ‘draft posts’ column every time I login.

This is about 6 months late (2019 editor’s note: “LOL”) but better late than never… There’s very little fun in attempting to recall a holiday that’s so depressingly long ago you cant really even remember when it was, but Lyon deserves a mention cos it was my surprise package of the holiday effectively – I found so much more vibrant, cultured and generally beautiful than Paris, I would even consider going back to explore cos its sooo interesting.

Considering my dedication to culinary adventure, I did try the Andouilette and I did find it to be the rankest thing I’ve ever had served on a plate. I may well have blogged about this before just because it was urrrrgh. So much so, I gave up eating/trying to keep it down, and instead took a picture so someone else might try in my disgust. I mean, LOOK AT IT – ITS CHUNKY. CHUNKY PIG INTESTINES. WITH PROBABLY BITS OF SH*T IN IT.
