Dear Diary

Dear Diary,

Life is good. I cannot complain. If there was something to complain about, this blog would be much more interesting. But I can see someone is reading it anyway and wasting a few moments of precious life, so I cannot complain.

Job applications have been slow, but I’ve managed to wrangle getting to the final round of a graduate programme this Tuesday. Quite how, I’m not sure, seeing as I was only told about my application been noted on Thursday, with a telephone interview on the Friday. I am quietly peeing my pants. The assessment centre lasts for 6 hrs and there are 5 exercises. But my main glee stems from an expenses paid trip to London, with overnight accommodation at a 5 star hotel. I can’t wait to steal the mints.

One of my group members is being somewhat a pr*t. I believe the stick up his arse is becoming more irritable, and apparently I am the reason to blame. I AM NOT THE STICK. I am merely someone who admittedly, is quite lazy but is still dedicated to the cause. Despite my deficiencies, there is no excuse for courtesies and generally being a polite person. Which is why I say to my group member, I respect your opinion, but if you cannot communicate it in a constructive manner, then please p*ss off.

I saw Brokeback Mountain yesterday. It was a little poignant and it tackles a daring subject rather tenderly (though of course this is its ticket to the Oscars) but I was rather disappointed. Gay cowboys aren’t as interesting as they used to be.

Back to a bit more work before my conscience (or the stick) gets the better of me.

  1. I saw Brokeback yesterday and really loved it. I think you can look beyond the fact that the relationship is btwn 2 men – it is a study of true love found and lost. And how if you are not true to yourself or your feelings – you will create a wake of destruction. To yourself, to your partner, to the wives who had to suffer. It will eat away inside you.
