Excited about going Dutch

Sorry for the lack of update folks!

Actually starting to get a bit excited about RSM (Rotterdam School of Management) now. Its not that exotic but every single person I’ve talked to who has been there has mentioned it as a very very very good choice and that they have not regretted chosing it (over more adventurous locations like US, Singapore, Canada) and it has made them a better person because you get to open up to so many new things etc etc. I expect each and every one of you to make an effort, don your clogs and hop on that plane to visit! Best if you come early as possible to avoid exam season, and who knows maybe we can do Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) and beyond! Eurorail do offers for “zones” of europe, so if i had time i could buy a ticket for unlimited 3-4 day travel over a certain area, e.g. benelux, france germany and sweden, turkey and spain. How amazing would that be? Course i have to make sure it doesnt compromise my work – seriously thinking of taking Strategy Management, fits in with my interests plus theres no bloody groupwork which by the end of BBA everyone ends up detesting. RSM also gives you your own personalised business card! How cool is that? Going to be so strange spending 4 months in a foreign country without hardly anyone you know there, but at the same time I’m incredibly grateful for the chance. Unfortunately the first payment of my ERASMUS grant comes in mid nov (when im nearing the end of the exchange) and the second payment is in MAY – lets not comment on the stupidity of that.

Yee’s coming, fresh from the Big Apple! Haven’t seen her for god knows how long.. family has grown up and moved on.. its very rare we’re all in one place, so will be great to see her again.

Have discovered that Chinese New Year falls on Jan 29th next year which is absolutely ideal for me. I have the month of January off (hey, we do placements and 4th yr is gonna be hell!) and although i should work thru a lot of it, i’m going to do everything in my power to get all the family to go to Hong Kong together, as has been mooted. Term starts on Feb 9th so i think i deserve a break before i dedicate my life to FYP, exams and a large degree of panicking and sweating.
